Accountant Role at GRS Recruitment

A successful audit firm in Cyprus with offices in Nicosia is seeking an experienced Accountant to provide accounting, VAT, and daily banking services to international clients. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of relevant experience, a strong understanding of General Basic Cyprus Tax Legislation, and a degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive accounting services, including VAT, VIES, and daily banking services.
  • Liaise with clients to obtain necessary information for accounting and AML procedures.
  • Analyze complex financial reports and records.
  • Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and prepare accounts and management information.
  • Prepare General Ledgers, Trial Balances, and management accounts on set time periods.
  • Assist with the preparation of engagement letters, company documentation, and other confirmation letters as accounting evidence.
  • Support the audit process by liaising with auditors and responding to queries.
Candidate Profile
  • Hold a degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience of at least 8 years in a similar position.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language. Knowledge of Russian is considered an advantage.
  • Very good knowledge of General Basic Cyprus Tax Legislation.
  • Knowledge of Caseware and e-soft is considered an advantage.
