Vantive: Revolutionizing Kidney Care and Beyond

Baxter is embarking on a transformative journey to separate its ~$5B Kidney Care segment into a standalone company, Vantive. This new entity will build on the company's nearly 70-year legacy in acute therapies and home and in-center dialysis, providing best-in-class care to those in need. We believe Vantive will not only solidify Baxter's leadership in the kidney care space but also offer meaningful work to those who join us.

About the Role

  • Lead strategic project portfolios for OpEx and Manufacturing engineering to drive technological innovation, optimize existing plants and systems, enhance equipment capacity, and reduce costs.
  • Support the Manufacturing Engineering team in evaluating feasibility related to new investments and initiatives, aligning with the Site Strategic Improvement Plan (SSIP).
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates and organizing project reviews to ensure timely completion, cost control, and scope adherence.
  • Prepare user requirements and translate them into project documents, including P&IDs, layouts, data sheets, and mechanical and electro-instrumental work requisitions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to coordinate design and on-field activities, ensuring technical and financial alignment for procurement teams.
  • Work with HSE and QA departments to ensure project deliverables meet Safety and Quality standards.
  • Supervise installation and qualification activities for new lines, equipment, and systems.
  • Contribute to the deployment of Company Operational Excellence systems and share knowledge with the Global OpEx and Engineering Network.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Engineering (preferably mechanical, automation, electronic, or biomedical).
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and/or Lean Six Sigma green belt is highly appreciated.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a process engineer in a relevant industrial production environment.
  • Preferred experience with project delivery, budget management, and capital projects involving production and utilities systems.
  • Good knowledge of English language.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Project, 3D (AutoCAD), and statistical software (Minitab, JMP).
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools and excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
