Baxter: A Legacy of Innovation and Excellence

Baxter is embarking on a journey to establish Vantive, a standalone company built on our 70-year legacy in acute therapies and home and in-center dialysis. We believe Vantive will not only solidify our leadership in the kidney care space but also offer meaningful work to those who join us.

As a Project/Process Engineer at Baxter, you will become part of a community of individuals driven to improve patients' lives worldwide. You will work alongside us as we revolutionize kidney care and other vital organ support.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic project portfolios to bring technological innovation in production areas, optimize preexisting plants and systems, enhance equipment capacity, and reduce costs.
  • Support the Manufacturing Engineering team in evaluating feasibility for new investments and initiatives following the Site Strategic Improvement Plan (SSIP).
  • Establish and maintain proper communication flow with stakeholders by providing regular updates and organizing project reviews.
  • Prepare user requirements and translate them into project documents, including P&IDs, layouts, data sheets, and mechanical and electro-instrumental work requisitions.
  • Coordinate design and on-field activities with suppliers, aligning offers from a technical and financial perspective to support commercial negotiations.
  • Collaborate with HSE and QA departments to ensure project deliverables comply with Safety and Quality standards and requirements.
  • Supervise installation and qualification activities for new lines, equipment, and systems.
  • Contribute to the deployment of Company Operational Excellence systems on site.
  • Share site knowledge and lessons learned with the Global OpEx and Engineering Network to implement global best practices.

Requirements:

  • MSc in Engineering (preferably mechanical, automation, electronic, or biomedical).
  • PM certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and/or Lean Six Sigma green belt is highly appreciated.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a process engineer in a relevant industrial production environment.
  • Preferred project delivery experience with budget management, including capital projects involving production and utilities systems.
  • Good knowledge of English language.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Project, 3D (AutoCAD), and statistical software (Minitab, JMP).
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools.
  • Result-oriented individual with excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility, proactivity, and predisposition for interpersonal relationships and problem-solving.
  • Good communication skills with an attitude to work cross-functionally.
  • IT systems familiarity.
  • Attention to detail and respect for deadlines.
