Job Description

Societe Generale is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Coverage and Investment Banking division (COV) as a Corporate Coverage Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to our coverage bankers in charge of relationships with large corporate clients in Italy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Financial Institutions Coverage team in origination and execution of transactions for a portfolio of financial institutions.
  2. Perform in-depth financial, credit, and risk analysis on key clients and prospects.
  3. Prepare comprehensive presentations and briefing notes for client meetings and transactions execution.
  4. Contribute to client profitability monitoring by reviewing client profitability, updating client reference tables, and performing profitability-related analysis.
  5. Conduct research on the Financial Institutions industry, including regulatory analysis and system-wide trends.
  6. Stay up-to-date on the impact of new regulations on financial institutions and SocGen's offer.
  7. Identify business potential and cross-selling opportunities through internal reviews.
  8. Monitor market trends and track client profitability.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Business, Finance, or Economics from a reputable institution.
  • Previous experience in Finance or Banking, preferably as a trainee.
  • Fluent English language skills (B2-C1 level).
  • Good level of Italian language skills (an asset).
  • Proficient in MS Office and good communication and presentation skills.
