Director, Italy Hotels Capital Markets Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director to lead our Hotels Capital Markets team in Italy. As a key member of our Hotels & Hospitality division, you will be responsible for driving business growth and delivering exceptional results in the Italian market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for transactions in Italy, identifying market trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Play a key role in business development, new client acquisition, and client retention across all services provided by the Hotels Transactions, Advisory & Asset Management team.
  • Work closely with the EMEA team to deliver portfolio transactions and ensure optimum delivery capability across the team.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to key clients, building a strong personal network and delivering the JLL Hotels division to clients throughout Italy and the regional market.
  • Contribute to the EMEA Hotels leadership forum, working on cross-divisional projects and ensuring close co-operation with the EMEA Hotels & Hospitality team and the wider JLL firm.
Requirements
  • Excellent academic track record, with a degree in a relevant field and a professional qualification in hospitality or real estate, such as RICS or HCIMA.
  • Relevant work experience of 10+ years in an investment bank, hospitality advisor, or investor, with experience of both international and operational deals.
  • Track record of end-to-end-deal involvement, with experience of driving the process and successfully handling multiple projects.
  • Intellectually agile, with excellent technical skills, including financial modeling and analytical capability.
  • In-depth knowledge of the investor base, including large international operators, private equity funds, and family offices, and the ability to sell into these successfully.
  • Knowledge of the European hospitality market, including working knowledge of the hospitality investment, valuation, acquisition, development, and asset management processes, as well as financing.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, coupled with a balanced technical knowledge.
  • Good commercial acumen and sense for doing business, with entrepreneurial spirit and origination hustle.
  • Results-driven, with a focus on achieving challenging targets and deadlines, and resilient in the face of obstacles.
  • Ability to travel throughout Europe, with European language skills desirable.
