Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Tn Italy. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing production is equipped with the necessary materials in a timely manner, meeting quality specifications, and purchased at the best cost available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Anticipate and negotiate price changes to ensure optimal cost savings.
  • Negotiate supply agreements with key suppliers to secure the best possible terms.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape of the wastewater treatment industries to make informed procurement recommendations and decisions.
  • Foster and manage productive relationships with targeted raw material and transportation suppliers to identify and deliver value-added propositions.
  • Collaborate with technical personnel to determine the raw materials needed for new products and product enhancements, surveying the market for the best sources and negotiating the most favorable pricing.
  • Locate vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies and evaluate their worthiness to satisfy company requirements in relation to quality, delivery, and pricing.
  • Award bids based on the evaluation of quality, price, and suppliers' ability to meet requirements.
  • Maintain documentation of supplier bid awards to support objective selection.
  • Represent the company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
  • Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
  • Manage supplier complaints, settle disputes, and resolve conflicts to acceptable purchasing standards.
  • Assist accounts payable personnel with supplier invoice issues.
  • Monitor and approve new vendor requests.
  • Complete new supplier credit applications.
  • Interact with on-site contractors to confirm that company requirements are met in relation to safety and liability insurance.
  • Establish objectives and strategies to identify potential money-saving opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with critical suppliers.
  • Review purchasing performance for conformance to company policy.
  • Track purchasing activity and measurements required by policy and/or requested by management staff.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of SAP MRO system.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Negotiation training and/or a purchasing background desired.
  • Possesses well-developed communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Addresses inquiries and resolves problems by using appropriate resources/other departments to achieve results/answers.
  • Presents a professional attitude and handles confidential information according to non-disclosure guidelines.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced and multi-task environment.
  • High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented.
