We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Legal Counsel to join our team at Wolters Kluwer Italia S.r.l. in Milano, Italy.
About the Role:The Managing Legal Counsel will provide hands-on legal support to our business units, including software and content products and services to legal and compliance professionals. You will also manage one legal professional and be responsible for corporate housekeeping and regulatory compliance at the level of Wolters Kluwer Italia.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide primary legal support to the CEO of the Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory Italia business and the board of directors of Wolters Kluwer Italia;
- Manage one legal professional to efficiently and effectively provide legal support across business functions;
- Provide comprehensive legal counseling regarding corporate housekeeping, commercial, regulatory, and intellectual property matters;
- Partner with management and sales, marketing, product, and finance teams to advise on day-to-day legal issues, legal risks, and best practices;
- Provide hands-on legal assistance in structuring and drafting, negotiating, interpreting, managing, and enforcing commercial transactions and public tenders;
- Manage disputes, litigation, and outside counsel relationships;
- Collaborate with colleagues to drive the delivery of effective, high-quality legal services across Wolters Kluwer.
- You are a fully qualified Italian lawyer;
- You have at least eight to ten years of professional experience in an internationally operating company with complex structures;
- You have good knowledge of contract, corporate, IP, privacy, and IT laws;
- You have an affinity for technology subjects and a good understanding of technical and economic contexts;
- You act independently and proactively, can prioritize topics and implement them in a structured and solution-oriented manner;
- You have excellent legal acumen, rigorous analytic skills, and superior legal drafting and negotiating skills;
- You have strong communication skills and friendly persuasiveness;
- You are fluent in Italian and English, both orally and in writing.
