Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team in Lyon, France. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts with customers, service providers, and partners. You will also provide practical advice and support to operational teams across Europe, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, including SaaS contracts, master service agreements, DPAs, NDAs, and SLAs
  • Providing practical advice and support to operational teams, including C-Level, customer support, product, tech teams, and marketing
  • Managing GDPR compliance projects with the Data Protection Officer
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and good corporate governance
  • Managing potential pre-litigation and litigation matters
  • Helping to set up processes to structure the legal department and the business
Requirements
  • Generalist degree in business law and/or contract law
  • At least 4 years of experience in similar missions, preferably as in-house counsel in an international company or within a law firm
  • Strong capacity to adapt and willingness to work on a broad/generalist scope with a business and operational perspective
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English (most exchanges will be in English). Knowledge of German is a plus
  • Strong appetite for new and complex legal and technological challenges
  • Rigor, organization, management of priorities, and adaptation to a fast-changing environment
  • Strong ability to work with other teams as a business partner
