Pirelli, a global leader in the tire industry, is seeking a highly skilled Property Risk Engineer to join its reinsurance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assessing property loss control and natural catastrophe exposures in Pirelli's factories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough site visits to evaluate property risk and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop detailed reports to provide recommendations for enhancing property protection and reducing risk.
  • Analyze building construction, fire protection features, process operations, and special hazards to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Build strong relationships with key insurance and reinsurance carriers to negotiate optimal risk management solutions.
  • Evaluate captive risk lines and portfolios to identify opportunities for risk optimization.
  • Manage claims and ensure timely resolution.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in engineering (preferably mechanical or electrical).
  • 2-3 years of experience in risk consulting.
  • Strong working knowledge of fire protection and insurance issues.
  • Familiarity with FM Global or NFPA standards.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment, including boilers, compressors, gearboxes, electric motors, switchgears, and transformers.
  • Understanding of maintenance of electrical equipment, including NDT, infrared scanning, and vibration monitoring.
  • Ability to consult effectively on a broad range of tire manufacturing risk controls and identify complex risks.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
