We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team at the Department of the Navy as a Real Property Policy Specialist. This critical role plays a key part in shaping the future of real estate management within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on real estate policy issues, interpreting complex regulations and procedures.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote efficient management of real property, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Advise on real estate actions with significant impact on Naval operations, considering political, financial, legal, and other factors.
  • Guide personnel on real estate principles, practices, methods, and techniques, fostering a culture of excellence.
Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
Qualifications
  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Utilizing knowledge of real estate practices, procedures, and principles in real estate contracting and real estate transactions.
  • Overseeing real estate projects, funding of renewal contracts, budget materials, personnel, and other information concerning real estate programs.
  • Providing advice on complex real estate issues and policies.
  • Overseeing the direction of the real estate program for the organization.

  • This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement and Alternate Placement Programs.
