To enhance our global Digital Business Development team, we are seeking a Digital Commerce & Merchandising Expert. This pivotal role facilitates and empowers local operational management and execution of digital sales channels, aiming for a comprehensive omnichannel strategy and the attainment of business objectives across all platforms.
Our mission is to globally cultivate, scale, and empower the digital and digitally enhanced businesses and relationships within our sales and marketing organization through scalable, sustainable, and profitable solutions. Within the global Digital Commerce and Merchandising service, we ensure consistent brand visibility and availability across all pertinent digital channels by continuously creating, refining, and optimizing various digital offerings tailored to specific personas and missions, maximizing growth opportunities and financial sustainability.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implementing the global Digital Commerce & Merchandising growth strategy and roadmap, while developing best practices and guidelines for local markets to ensure successful market execution.
  • Identifying and ensuring the local application of best practices/guidelines to support effective market execution (e.g., sales & merchandising plans, business reviews, budget/forecast/KPIs, JBPs, etc.).
  • Assisting local markets in achieving commercial success and business objectives across various digital channels with different business models (marketplace, omni-retailer, own store, quick commerce, social commerce).
  • Providing evolutionary and operational consultancy in sales and merchandising to local teams, identifying weaknesses, and enabling growth and improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborating with internal global teams to drive organizational progress and empowering local teams in channel management and execution.
  • Maximizing the utilization of digital sales tools and platforms (e.g., own e-commerce, syndication, etc.) and their respective functionalities to ensure ROI and adoption.
  • Managing projects for the implementation of initiatives aimed at evolving existing digital commerce and merchandising activities.
  • Providing support on e-commerce platforms and marketplace accounts (e.g., Seller Central, Vendor Central, etc.).

YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in Economics.
  • 3-5 years of experience in similar roles within global-local frameworks (D2C, FMCG/CPG, Retail experience is a strong advantage).
  • Commercially driven, solution-oriented, and data-focused.
  • Knowledge and experience in Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Online channel management.
  • Strong personality, proactive, with excellent organizational skills.
  • Highly committed individual with outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Fluency in English and Italian; knowledge of German is a plus.
