Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee assigned Programs in alignment with contractual obligations, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
  • Assist in the formulation of budget plans.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks following the Company's established protocols.
  • Play a pivotal role in significant bidding and proposal initiatives.
  • Ensure effective collaboration and coordination among various internal and external stakeholders (e.g., engineering, legal, compliance, procurement, financial management) involved in the Programs or proposal efforts.
  • Develop and maintain a project roadmap that aligns with budgetary and contractual requirements, ensuring adherence to established baselines.
  • Cultivate and manage customer relationships, addressing both explicit and implicit requirements throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Facilitate integration and synchronization across different operational areas to meet program objectives.
  • Execute and monitor project activities, being accountable for relevant cost and schedule performance indicators.
  • Support configuration management and product assurance processes.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
  • Manage proposal preparation and conduct cost analysis.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to identify and pursue new opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related Technical-Scientific field.
  • Familiarity with primary Engineering and Operational ECSS standards.
  • Understanding of key principles and practices for managing Programs.
  • Credentials to oversee classified projects.

Experience Level:

  • Senior level (minimum of 2 years in a similar capacity or in the development of complex Space systems within Engineering or Operations departments).

Technical Expertise:

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in the domain of space Earth Observation.
  • Proficient in Project/Program Management methodologies (including requirements management, planning & control, stakeholder engagement).
  • Background in large-scale proposal development and economic analysis (advanced level) – understanding of key financial metrics (e.g., EBIT, Cash Flow).

Desirable Skills:

  • Understanding of the Space industry and associated services.
  • Knowledge of Operations and Defence sectors is highly advantageous.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in English is mandatory.

IT Proficiency:

  • Proficient in MS Office and possess a deep understanding of IT tools that facilitate program management processes (e.g., SAP).

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Results-driven mindset.
  • Effective negotiation skills in both Italian and English.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
