Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the assigned Programs in alignment with contractual obligations, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
  • Assist in the formulation of budget plans.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks following the organization's protocols and standards.
  • Play a pivotal role in significant bidding and proposal initiatives.
  • Ensure seamless integration and collaboration among various internal and external stakeholders (e.g., engineering, legal, compliance, procurement, financial accounting) involved in the assigned Programs or proposal efforts.
  • Develop and uphold the project roadmap, ensuring consistency with budgetary and contractual requirements. Guarantee that contracts are fulfilled within the established parameters (cost and schedule) defined during the proposal phase.
  • Manage customer relationships and address both explicit and implicit requirements throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Facilitate integration and synchronization across different operational areas to meet program objectives.
  • Execute and monitor project activities, being accountable for key performance indicators related to cost and schedule (EBIT/Revenues).
  • Support configuration management and product assurance processes.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
  • Assist in proposal preparation and conduct cost analysis.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to identify new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related Technical-Scientific field.
  • Familiarity with key Engineering and Operational ECSS standards.
  • Understanding of essential principles and practices for managing Programs.
  • Certification to oversee classified programs.

Experience Level:

  • Senior level (minimum of 2 years in a similar capacity or in the development of complex Space systems within Engineering or Operations departments).

Technical Proficiencies:

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in the domain of space Earth Observation.
  • Proficient in Project/Program Management methodologies (including requirements management, planning & control, stakeholder engagement).
  • Extensive experience in large-scale proposal development and economic analysis (advanced understanding of financial metrics such as EBIT, Cash Flow, etc.).

Desirable Skills:

  • Understanding of the Space industry and related services.
  • Strong grasp of Operations and Defence sectors.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in English is mandatory.

IT Competencies:

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and possess a deep understanding of IT tools that facilitate program management processes (e.g., SAP).

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Leadership and Team Management capabilities.
  • Results-driven approach.
  • Negotiation skills in both Italian and English.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Capacity to perform under pressure.
