Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of Area Managers to achieve business objectives
  • Lead operational teams on a shift, addressing issues and positively impacting site performance
  • Analyze shift performance against relevant business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence
  • Collaborate with other support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
  • Design and deliver initiatives to improve operational performance across sites
A Day in the Life

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading shifts at one of our operational sites in Italy. You will work closely with various teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration teams. Your day will involve meetings, deep dives into performance and risk metrics, and mentoring and coaching your team.

About the Team

Customer Fulfillment (CF) is the foundation of Amazon's business, handling over 1.5 million orders every day. Our team is based in Fulfillment Centers, which are at the heart of Amazon's fast-paced Operations network. We are looking for talented individuals to join our team and help us deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant experience in successful people and stakeholder management
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in the local language
  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques
  • Experience in a similar logistical working environment
  • Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
