Job Overview

Objective

MET Group is engaged in the advancement and establishment of a diverse portfolio of renewable energy projects, including solar photovoltaic (PV), onshore wind, and energy storage systems, with a total capacity of 1 GW.

Our current initiatives encompass several mid-stage solar PV projects in Italy, collectively amounting to significant megawatt capacity.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a Project Manager specializing in Renewable Energy to assist in the oversight and development of MET Group's large-scale renewable energy initiatives. The role will involve, but is not limited to:

  • Direct involvement in project management and co-development tasks, including strategic planning, regulatory compliance, financial forecasting, and other technical aspects related to MET Group's renewable energy investments.
  • Management of EPC procurement processes and the formulation and oversight of relevant construction agreements.
  • Actively participating in technical evaluations, pre-feasibility, and feasibility assessments, which include site evaluations, technology assessments, conceptual designs, and preliminary energy production forecasts.
  • Supporting investment and M&A initiatives by assessing technical and commercial factors of potential investment opportunities in large-scale renewable energy assets, particularly solar PV and onshore wind.
  • Keeping abreast of market trends and regulatory developments.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering from a recognized academic institution.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management within the development and construction of utility-scale solar PV projects (experience with onshore wind is advantageous), complemented by a solid understanding of renewable energy permitting and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience and/or involvement in renewable energy transactions or acquisitions is essential.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory landscape and market practices concerning renewable energy across Europe.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of EPC and IPP procurement processes, along with familiarity with EPC and O&M contracts.
  • Proficiency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
