Job Overview

Objective

MET Group is engaged in the development and construction of a diverse portfolio of renewable energy assets, including solar photovoltaic (PV), onshore wind, and energy storage, targeting a total capacity of 1 GW.

Our current initiatives include several mid-stage solar PV projects in Italy, contributing significantly to our renewable energy goals.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the development and management of MET Group's large-scale renewable energy projects. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Direct involvement in project management and co-development tasks, such as project planning, permitting, financial forecasting, and other technical aspects related to our renewable energy investments.
  • Coordination of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) tender processes, along with the preparation and oversight of relevant construction contracts.
  • Active participation in technical due diligence, pre-feasibility, and feasibility assessments, including site evaluations, technology assessments, conceptual designs, and preliminary energy production estimates.
  • Assisting in investment and merger & acquisition activities by identifying and assessing technical and commercial factors of investment opportunities in utility-scale solar and wind energy assets.
  • Keeping abreast of market trends and regulatory developments in the renewable energy sector.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering from a recognized academic institution.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience in the development and construction of utility-scale solar PV projects (experience with onshore wind is advantageous), complemented by a solid understanding of renewable energy permitting and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience or exposure to renewable energy transactions and acquisitions is essential.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory landscape and market practices surrounding renewable energy across Europe.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of EPC and Independent Power Producer (IPP) tendering processes, as well as EPC and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contracts.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional European languages is a plus.
