Job Description

**Project Development Manager Italy - Renewables**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Development Manager to join our team at Smartenergy Renewables Deutschland GmbH. As a key member of our project development department, you will be responsible for assisting in the acquisition and management of PV projects in Italy.

  • Manage the development process for PV projects, including large-scale PV, Renewable Energy Communities, Solar Rooftops, and energy storage systems.
  • Conduct preliminary technical and environmental assessments for project acquisition in cooperation with Business Development.
  • Define and follow-up project development process, including timeline, budget, cash flows, and necessary reports.
  • Monitor preliminary design of projects, supervising engineering consultants to ensure compliance with permitting, environmental, and construction requirements.
  • Liaise with electrical network operators, managing web portals, and ensuring grid connection execution.
  • Collaborate with engineering and construction departments, managing communications, archives, and data flowing between competence centers and the Italian branch.

**Requirements**

  • Demonstrable experience in developing, asset management, consultancy, or advisory of PV projects in Italy.
  • Proven understanding of the Italian regulatory framework related to the energy sector, particularly the development and construction of PV Plants, including environmental and licensing requirements.
  • Knowledge of the Italian electricity system, including distributed generation regulations, utilities, and related interconnection procedures.
  • English proficiency written and oral.
  • Project Management or Technical Advisory experience.
  • CAD and GIS software user.
  • H2 and Wind projects development frameworks knowledge.

**Education**

Master's degree in Environmental, Electrical Engineering, or other Technical Degrees/related discipline.
