Mission / Objectives of the Role

The selected candidate will support the project development division in the acquisition and oversight of photovoltaic (PV) initiatives, encompassing Utility Scale, Energy Communities, Green Hydrogen integration, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), from initial site evaluation to the Ready to Build (RtB) phase.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development process leading to RtB approvals for PV projects, including large-scale solar installations, Renewable Energy Communities, Solar Rooftops, and other self-consumption models, along with energy storage systems integrated with our Green Hydrogen strategy.
  • Conduct preliminary technical and environmental evaluations for project acquisitions in collaboration with the Business Development team.
  • Establish and monitor the project development timeline, budget, cash flows, and necessary reporting.
  • Supervise the preliminary design of projects, coordinating with engineering consultants to ensure adherence to permitting, environmental, and construction standards.
  • Manage environmental and construction authorization processes, overseeing permitting and licensing consultants to ensure compliance with design and construction criteria.
  • Engage with electrical network operators (DSO and TSO), managing online platforms up to the execution of grid connections.
  • Collaborate with engineering and construction teams.
  • Facilitate communication, documentation, and data flow between various departments and the Italian branch.
  • Conduct initial feasibility studies and constraints assessments using GIS analysis.
  • Provide back-office support, including preparation for filing activities, documentation checklists, and general assistance for development tasks.
Essential Qualifications
  • Proven experience in the development, asset management, consultancy, or advisory roles related to greenfield PV projects in Italy.
  • Strong understanding of the Italian energy sector's regulatory framework, particularly concerning PV plant development, including environmental and licensing requirements.
  • Familiarity with the Italian electricity system, including technical and regulatory aspects, distributed generation regulations, and related interconnection procedures.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Project Management or Technical Advisory roles.
  • Proficient in CAD and GIS software.
  • Experience with PVSYST is a plus.
  • Knowledge of BESS and Wind project development frameworks is advantageous.
  • Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus.

Educational Background
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
