Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Project Specialist Leader to join our team. As a key member of our process engineering team, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and cascading down contractual overriding process requirements, focusing on general process requirements involving all process disciplines.
  • Coordinating general process engineering interfaces of the entire plant in technical, scheduling, and qualitative aspects (gate reviews), with a focus on P&ID, risk assessment, and plant operating integration.
  • Supporting the timely preparation of process engineering documentation for the execution phase (both internal and external), the operation manual, and CE conformity.
  • Coordinating technical documentation between process disciplines.
  • Managing process engineering interfaces in accordance with business processes, customer contracts, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Leading HAZOP studies and ensuring compliance with plant safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Providing commissioning support.
  • Supporting process engineering reviews during commissioning and before trial operation/Fit for Performance.
  • Developing and ensuring HZI's technical standards and guidelines.
  • Complying with HZI's work methodology and guidelines.
  • Supporting Proposal Management in corresponding areas of competence.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a comparable function in the energy, environmental technology, renewable energies, oil, and gas, or similar industry.
  • Solid knowledge in process engineering, use of CAE programs, P&IDs, logic diagrams, and simulation tools (Aspen).
  • Deep knowledge of process engineering and equipment design with a background in the energy sector.
  • Functional Safety Engineering expertise.
  • Technical lead experience in coordinating all process activities in renewable gas projects.
  • Good knowledge/experience in plant construction and commissioning.
  • Very good and detailed knowledge of process engineering, design of main equipment, system automation, control, and operation.
  • Experience in dealing with multiple suppliers and procurement of systems.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary and multicultural project teams.
  • Experience in integrating technical systems.
  • A self-driven, open-minded personality with attention to detail and a precise working style.
  • Fluency in English.
