About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Rome. As a key member of our Services Signalling Platform Organisation, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to maintenance activities on Railway Signalling Systems operated by Alstom domestic and international customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance and technical assistance plans to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Coordinate and support maintenance technicians on site and remotely.
  • Provide performance and log analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of structured return of experience processes through reporting, statistics, and other means.
  • Execute and supervise hardware and software retrofit and upgrade plans.
  • Support the Service Signalling Platform organisation in defining maintenance strategies for tenders and offers.
  • Collaborate with product engineering to define maintainability requirements during the product design phase.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electric, or Telecommunications Engineering.
  • Ability to interpret electric drawings and schemes.
  • Knowledge of electronic design principles and methodology.
  • Proficiency in common operating systems (Unix, Ms-Windows, etc.) and network protocols (TCP/IP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of RAM analysis methodology and test tools (oscilloscope, wave generator, multimeter, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of railway systems and transportation systems is a plus.
Language Skills
  • Italian: excellent written and spoken.
  • English: good written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of French is desirable but not mandatory.
