About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Permitting Consultant to join our Compliance and Permitting Group at Ramboll. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients navigate complex environmental regulations and achieve their sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret EU and Italian environmental regulations to ensure compliance with existing permits and legislation.
  • Assist in preparing major and minor permit applications, including AIA, AUA, and other relevant permits.
  • Conduct studies under Italian Environmental Impact Assessment legislation, including screening di VIA, SIA, VINCA, and other relevant assessments.
  • Support clients in maintaining their operations in compliance with existing environmental permits, including air emissions, waste management, and wastewater control.
  • Prepare emissions calculations for industrial sources and conduct compliance assessments against Best Available Techniques for various industries.
  • Conduct air quality reviews of emissions reduction or control and reviews of industrial wastewater management according to Italian National and regional legislation.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in environmental engineering, environmental sciences, or a related field. You should have a deep understanding of EU and Italian environmental regulations and be able to communicate effectively with regulatory authorities, government officials, and clients.

Key qualifications include:

  • Master of Science (Laurea quinquennale) or PhD in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in understanding and applying environmental regulations to real-world situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Italian and English.
