Our core focus lies in Systems and Software Engineering, particularly in Space Mission Analysis and Design (SMAD).

ROLE OF A FRONT-END WEB ENGINEER AT PLANETEK ITALIA

As a Front-End Web Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design and sustain user interfaces that are not only visually engaging but also user-friendly and efficient. You will collaborate closely with the design team to bring UX and UI concepts to life using contemporary web technologies. Your role will also encompass optimizing web performance, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, conducting testing and debugging, and safeguarding the security of our web applications.

You will engage in pioneering projects within the space sector, playing a vital role in crafting software solutions and applications that underpin space missions, satellite systems, and data analysis in the realm of space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the design team to convert UX and UI designs into responsive web interfaces.
• Build web applications utilizing modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or similar, along with hybrid mobile app frameworks like Flutter.
• Adhere to web standards and best practices to guarantee code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
• Enhance web performance through techniques like code minification, lazy loading, and image optimization.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility of web applications across diverse platforms and devices.
• Utilize HTML, CSS, and TypeScript to create intuitive and interactive user interfaces.
• Collaborate with Restful or GraphQL APIs to retrieve and display data within web applications.
• Work with design tools like Figma to accurately implement designs in collaboration with the design team.
• Apply Material Design principles to develop visually appealing and cohesive user interfaces.
• Create responsive designs that adjust seamlessly to various screen sizes and devices.
• Conduct comprehensive testing and debugging of web applications to ensure an optimal user experience.
• Uphold the security of web applications by adhering to best practices and implementing necessary security protocols.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders in both English and Italian.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• Familiarity with server environments and backend technologies.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience in Agile settings.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in package managers such as npm and yarn for dependency management.
• Basic knowledge of graphic design software to facilitate collaboration with designers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Strong command of HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
• Experience with at least one modern frontend framework like Angular or React.
• Familiarity with Restful or GraphQL APIs.
• Solid grasp of web standards, best practices, and performance optimization strategies.
• Experience with design collaboration tools like Figma.
• Knowledge of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Italian.
