Job Title: Project Installation Manager

Alstom is seeking a highly skilled Project Installation Manager to lead site operations and ensure the successful installation and commissioning of our systems.

Job Summary:

The Project Installation Manager will be responsible for planning and managing all site activities, including site facilities, resources, and tools. They will also be responsible for delivering and maintaining plans, procedures, and work method statements for installation and test & commissioning plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and organize site activities, including site facilities, resources, and tools
  • Deliver and maintain plans, procedures, and work method statements for installation and test & commissioning plans
  • Manage work packages assigned for site operations
  • Manage installation works for all sub-systems and system equipment, including monitoring and leading actions on planning, risks, opportunities, best practices, non-conformities, and technical interfaces
  • Manage subcontractors, including monitoring quality and delivery through site visits, inspections, and assessments
  • Coordinate installation engineering & design for the complete system, based on all necessary inputs provided by the sub-system engineering
  • Industrial, procurement, and logistics activities: coordinate procurement activities under the sub-systems responsibility and of the field & installation equipment, coordinate logistic activities (incl. warehouse management), and deploy and apply signalling installation process on site
  • Continuous improvement: assure continuous installation performance improvement within the project, contribute to best practices definition and REX within the product line, and participate in process / 'metier' improvement workgroup when requested, to propose update/improvement of the installation and T&C way of working, process, tools, and RefLib
  • Assure EHS compliance (Zero deviation) through EHS plan, site inspections, people assessment, etc...
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in field work execution in the railway sector
  • Strong understanding of interface processes between civil works and rail sub-systems
  • Experience in Environment, Health & Safety, knowledge of local legal requirements
  • Experience in management and evaluation of subcontractors
  • Team spirit approach and good communication skills
  • Possess the agility to adapt to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment
Location:

We can hire in our sites of Bologna, Florence, Rome, or Bari.

Mandatory requirement: availability to travel in Italy and work in field also 5 days per week.
