Your Research Team
You will collaborate within a diverse team of physicists, chemists, biomedical, and electrical engineers, each contributing their unique expertise to a joint project with an industrial partner. The objective is to develop a cost-effective and highly sensitive biosensing product for antigen screening.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and enhance carbon-based printed electrolyte-gated field effect transistors.
- Bio-functionalize the sensing gate electrode.
- Validate the performance of the biosensor.
This position is funded through a collaboration with an industrial partner.
Qualifications
- A PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields with demonstrated expertise in bioelectronics and biosensors.
- Proven laboratory experience in the fabrication and characterization of carbon-based or organic transistors.
- Experience in bio-functionalization of surfaces such as gold electrodes or semiconductors is advantageous.
- A strong publication record and ability to effectively organize and disseminate research findings.
- Experience mentoring junior researchers.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with biosensors and knowledge of Surface Plasmon Resonance.
- Previous work in international research environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach.
