We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Advanced Analytics Platform team at EssilorLuxottica Group. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in building, automating, deploying, and designing data pipelines that cater to the growing needs of our data science community.
Key Responsibilities:- Collecting, storing, and processing substantial amounts of data from various sources.
- Developing and maintaining data pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable data delivery.
- Designing and implementing data models and data warehouses to support data analysis.
- Working with Public Cloud-based technologies, preferably Azure.
- Building and maintaining data infrastructure, including databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
- Monitoring and optimizing data pipeline performance, including identifying and resolving performance issues and bottlenecks.
- Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to develop data-driven solutions and insights.
- Ensuring data security and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Pyspark – Azure DataBricks with Unity Catalog.
- ETL/ELT using Datafactory.
- Knowledge of Lakehouse and Azure Data Lake Services.
- Ability to work with several types of formats, including delta, parquet, json, and csv.
- Synapse Workspaces and SQL Pools.
- Orchestration Tool and dependency management, such as Datafactory/Airflow.
- SQL / Scripting / Python / Scala / sFTP.
