Job Title: Global Social Sustainability Due Diligence Specialist

As a Global Social Sustainability Due Diligence Specialist at Hitachi Energy, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's sustainability goals and ensuring compliance with human rights due diligence standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a management system for human rights due diligence, including measuring, monitoring, reporting, and verification processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate human rights aspects into business processes and develop strategies for compliance.
  • Provide technical advice on planning and implementation of human rights due diligence, including internal controls and auditing processes.
  • Collect and analyze data to support reporting and adapt processes in accordance with evolving mandatory human rights due diligence legislation.
  • Engage with stakeholders to communicate the value of human rights-aligned business strategies and develop training programs to support awareness and detection goals.
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in a relevant discipline, such as sustainability, business administration, or social science.
  • At least 3 years of experience in human rights or social performance in a business or industry environment.
  • Business and human rights-related course or certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in ambiguity and develop solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-culturally in an international environment.
