Job Summary

Burberry Limited is seeking a highly skilled Production Planning Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the production processes for vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Short-Term Planning: Develop and implement short-term production plans to meet business objectives and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Vendor Management: Manage external production capacity, allocate products to manufacturers, and monitor raw material stock levels in collaboration with Procurement.
  • Production Monitoring: Ensure accurate planning and monitoring of leather goods production, proposing trade-offs where necessary due to limited raw material resources.
  • Stealth Activities: Manage Stealth activities related to work and sales order creation, and manufacturer management.
  • Order Management: Receive weekly orders from Sourcing, provide planning feedback, and ensure timely receipt of orders and manage re-timing.
  • Start-Up Phase: Contribute to and monitor the critical path for the start-up phase, working closely with the start-up team.
  • Production Plan Monitoring: Monitor production plan and finished goods deliveries through daily interaction with vendors and production control team.
  • Data Accuracy: Ensure data accuracy is maintained, and prepare different analyses and reports on department and vendor performance, timing of deliveries, and adherence to lead times.
  • Technical Support: Liaise with Product Engineering for BOMs and technical information, and manage and upload price lists.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment, with specific experience in supplier management and planning activities.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, high level of proficiency in MS Office applications, experience of using spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting, and knowledge of SAP, Sedapta, Stealth 3K, SQL, Power BI, and Access.
  • Language: Fluency in English is essential.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent verbal/written communication and time management skills, proven leadership with excellent communication skills, and an open-minded approach to work combined with a strong problem-solving orientation.
