Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager Sales to join our team. As a key member of our sales department, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and success.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for representing SMS group towards customers and internal stakeholders;
  • Holding regular project discussions/negotiations with customers and consortium members, documenting meeting results;
  • Leading core team meetings, documenting meeting results;
  • AUTHORIZED for overall sales projects as an “entrepreneur inside the company”;
  • Understanding project goals, substantive requirements, and Bid Budget;
  • Defining project strategy (Winning Strategy) in close cooperation with Core Sales Team and Project Owner Sales;
  • Defining project-specific requirements;
  • Managing Core Sales Team;
  • Allocating project budget (Bid Budget) approved until the next stage;
  • Target costing according to project costing/result situation (total/unit costs) for the overall project;
  • Negotiation authority: Official point of contact with customers and contract partners for all matters (technical & commercial);
  • Convening meetings and discussions as necessary to the project involving Core Sales Team or with contract partners;
  • Travel rules and approvals within applicable travel guidelines;
  • Requesting project-related data and information;
  • Granted power of attorney in writing for negotiating contracts.

Your Qualifications:

  • Graduate or Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar;
  • At least 3/4 years of experience in Technical Sales for complex plant manufacturer companies;
  • Experience analyzing complex Requests from Customers and preparing relevant Technical Offers;
  • Commercial skills to identify competitive solutions, manufacturing strategies, etc.;
  • Good knowledge of Mechanical Technical drawings; basic knowledge of Media systems, Electric, and Automation packages required;
  • Coordination Skills necessary to manage Proposal project team;
  • Availability to undertake travel worldwide when required by the role;
  • Fluent in English essential (German knowledge represents a plus);
  • Good knowledge of Office package (including Project) and basic knowledge of SAP essential;
  • Drawing tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, etc.) not required but represent a plus.

Location: Tarcento (UD)

Estimated Salary: €60,000 - €80,000 per year
