About the Role:
Aircraft Mechanic III, Site Lead (SLM) is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of facilities, equipment, and machinery. This role ensures that all maintenance functions are conducted in accordance with safety directives, standard operating procedures, and technical manuals.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilities and Equipment Management: Ensure the efficient operation of facilities, equipment, and machinery by directing a technical support staff.
- Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate the flow of maintenance and supervise maintenance status reporting.
- Equipment Upgrades: Recommend equipment modifications for upgrades.
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
- Maintenance Staff Management: Assign and coordinate the work of maintenance staff and vendors.
- Technical Specifications: Review and implement all mechanical specifications and manuals for current operations.
- Capital Expenditures: Coordinate specifications and procurement of capital expenditures.
- Installation and Repair: Responsible for installation of equipment, preventative maintenance, and facility/equipment repair to support manufacturing.
- Process Improvement: Establish and track progress toward meeting the goals and objectives of process improvement procedures.
- Training and Development: Ensure all direct reports and maintenance employees receive job and safety training. Recommend and initiate personnel actions.
- Experience: Lead Mechanic shall have a minimum one year (1) of experience as a Site Lead.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Certifications: Minimum of five years (5) of multi-engine, turbo-prop aircraft maintenance experience. Requires valid FAA A&P license.
- Security Clearance: Must have Valid US Passport. Must be able to obtain/maintain United States Secret Security Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain/maintain Secret United States Security Clearance.
- Aircraft Experience: Previous maintenance experience with Metroliner 23, C-26 A/B/C/D, UC-26C, SA227 Metro III, or similar variants.
- Turboprop Experience: Previous C-26 aircraft and fixed-wing, pressurized, twin-engine turboprops experience.
Safety and Quality: Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment. As appropriate, each employee is responsible for completing all training requirements and fulfilling all self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participating in emergency response tasks and serving on safety committees and teams.
