About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in Genova, Italy. The successful candidate will be part of our COgITOR lab, led by Prof. Alessandro Chiolerio, and will work on the development and evaluation of a prototype of a colloidal cybernetic system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabrication and characterization of a liquid state pressure sensor
  • Integration of the energy, sensing, and computing subsystems into a single device
  • Integrated system testing and extreme environment testing
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in any field of engineering or physics
  • Documented experience and strong skills in LabView, manual setting up of experiments
  • Autonomy and responsible behavior in a lab
  • Ability to properly report, organize, and publish research data
  • Good command in spoken and written English
Desirable Skills
  • Soft robotics, fluid mechanics, LaTeX typesetting, Matlab scripting, Python language
