About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Scientific Professional to join our team in Italy - Siena. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for implementing and interpreting scientific research experiments using Proteomics and/or Structural Mass Spectrometry in support of vaccine development.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to planning and implementation of project-specific research and publication plans.
  • Advise the Lab Head on new technologies related to Proteomics and/or Structural Mass Spectrometry and on research and publication strategy.
  • Ensure timely data collection, analysis, and reporting (including preparation of internal/external scientific documents) in your area of responsibility.
  • Provide support to the IP team for patent filing and to the regulatory team for the preparation of the preclinical section of regulatory documents.
  • Ensure the highest ethical standards, good scientific practices, and data integrity are implemented in daily scientific activities.
  • Communicate issues proactively and effectively negotiate potential solutions with the preclinical team at a technical project team level.

Requirements

  • PhD in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Physics.
  • At least one first-author peer-reviewed publication.
  • Post-doctoral experience in Proteomics and/or Structural Mass Spectrometry.
  • Fluent in English, oral and writing.
  • Good communication skills, ability to present scientific data in front of a large audience.
  • Good project scientific/technical strategy skills.
