Randstad Inhouse Services is seeking a Quality Control Engineer for a prominent aerospace organization.
Quality Control plays a vital role in the aerospace sector, ensuring the proper execution of Assembly Integration and Test activities for Payload, Observation, and Navigation Satellites, in alignment with the company's established processes and specific program instructions.
The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for verifying that all operators possess the necessary certifications according to the department's skill matrix and collaborates with Quality Assurance to ensure product conformity.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will undertake the following primary duties:
- Verify the presence and compliance of documents and equipment specified in the work order, production documentation, or procedures.
- Ensure that required traceability is accurately recorded.
- Confirm that all records from previous phases are completed and that any nonconformities are documented.
- Assess the validity status of the tools and equipment utilized.
- Conduct checks as per the phase content or applicable general instructions, documenting the outcomes.
- Validate operator certifications.
- Certify the produced configuration and the equipment's conformity with the applicable configuration.
- Identify and report any physical anomalies, nonconformance reports (NCR), and deviations.
- Certify the implementation of decisions regarding nonconformities related to the equipment.
- Ensure that equipment with anomalies is properly segregated.
- Prepare and present documentation for equipment subject to internal or customer inspections.
- Conduct internal key inspection points when delegated by Quality.
- Monitor limited life items/materials and ensure proper tracking of residual life.
- Provide assistance to Material Review Board (MRB) and Design Review Board (DRB) with customers.
- Certify cleanliness and contamination levels for flight hardware.
Essential Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Quality or a related field.
- Strong understanding of ISO and ECSS standards.
- Familiarity with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Proficient in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
Soft Skills:
- Organized and methodical work approach with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, working independently or as part of a team.
- Strong focus on achieving results within specified time and budget constraints.
- Problem-solving mindset.
