Role Overview
We are seeking an Interface & Risk Manager to join the development and execution team for offshore wind initiatives in Italy.
As the Interface & Risk Manager, you will oversee the technical interfaces among various work packages, ensuring effective coordination between internal team members and external contractors and consultants involved in the project. Your role will involve identifying, managing, and mitigating risks associated with the Italian offshore projects, implementing risk and opportunity management processes, and continuously enhancing established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Interface Management:
Develop and implement Interface Management plans, processes, and tools, including registers and reporting mechanisms. Manage both internal and external information sources and technical interfaces. Clearly define roles, responsibilities, and scopes of work for all contractors to minimize conflicts. Assist in the development and execution of engineering solutions to resolve interface conflicts. Organize and facilitate interface meetings with both internal and external stakeholders. Engage actively with the supply chain and provide technical support to the procurement team as needed. Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure clarity regarding interfaces between contracts. Support the scheduling team in aligning contractor interfaces within the project timeline. Oversee and manage engineering framework contracts to ensure technical consistency across work packages, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Maintain effective coordination of offshore work packages, ensuring technical consistency, quality, and safety, while producing necessary reports throughout the project lifecycle. Promote adherence to project management, health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures, actively managing safety and personal welfare throughout the project duration.Risk Management:
Develop project risk strategies, prepare and implement a comprehensive risk management plan, and drive risk management in accordance with project policies. Oversee the risk management processes, including planning and identifying risks, conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses, planning risk responses, and monitoring and controlling risks. Facilitate risk workshops with project teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders within respective projects. Generate risk reports and analyses to assist management in informed decision-making. Continuously develop and maintain a project risk register, response plan templates, and other documentation in collaboration with the broader project team. Train risk owners in effective risk management practices and proactively collaborate with project teams to formulate risk mitigation strategies. Identify best practices and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of processes, tools, and templates. Determine the project budget contingency. Communicate the risk strategy effectively within the projects and the organization.Qualifications
A degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 8 years of pertinent work experience or demonstrated experience in a risk management context. A solid understanding of an integrated risk management process (risk, cost, and schedule) on large-scale programs or projects. Proficiency in both Italian and English, with excellent communication skills (oral and written).Additional Information
