POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled Artwork Project Manager to join our team in Milan. This is a hybrid role that requires strong project management skills and attention to detail.

You will act as a representative of SGK, ensuring a first-class service is consistently provided with professionalism and enthusiasm while aligning with client culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for gathering, managing, and coordinating new and updated graphics & packaging projects for the client's brand portfolio.
  • To co-ordinate the pack change process for all projects for the Client, including packaging artwork, artwork amends, repro, proofs, and all services provided by SGK.
  • Manage and maintain project and job status trackers.
  • Communicate key milestones and critical path timelines where applicable to all key stakeholders.
  • Escalate as appropriate any risks to critical path timelines.

Briefing & Approval Process

You will be responsible for:

  • Collate 'accurate' briefs and submit to production centre.
  • Collate amends and brief to production centre.
  • Co-ordinate and lead pre-artwork meetings with support of technical manager where appropriate. Collate and distribute minutes and actions.
  • Advise on print and technical feasibility on all assigned projects with the direct support of the SGK Print Technical Team and Operational Teams.
  • Co-ordinates press attendance where applicable with the SGK Print Technical Team.

Relationship Management

You will:

  • Build, maintain, and develop effective & positive working relationships across the client, and print supply chain becoming a trusted advisor and enabling first-class service.
  • Fully understand and appreciate client's culture, reflect this in behaviour and ways of working.
  • Build and maintain an on-site relationship with the relevant marketing team and supporting departments with support of designated Account Director.
  • Represent SGK professionally at all times at all levels of management within the client as required, including (but not exclusively) project briefings and non-conformance investigations.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Excellent organisational skills and logical approach.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills.
  • Remains calm under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of FMCG print processes and packaging materials so as to understand the limitations and/or restrictions faced by designers.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office.
  • Some experience/knowledge of Adobe products.
  • Experience/Knowledge of working with FMCG brands.

Personality/Work Style:

We are looking for a proactive, self-starter who can work independently/autonomously. You should appreciate cultural sensitivities, be a good listener, and demonstrate strong empathy skills. A strong process orientation and capable and effective leadership skills are also essential.
