The Transportation Business Operations Assistant Senior provides administrative and supervisory support services to the West Virginia Department of Transportation. This role involves developing policies and procedures, supervising office support staff, and performing related work as required.
Key Responsibilities- Develops procedures for the effective implementation of unit work, including forms, operating procedures, and proposed policies.
- Confers with unit management and staff regarding revisions to budgetary, purchasing, and administrative services policies and procedures.
- Prepares or supervises the preparation of required fiscal and budgetary reports.
- Monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with budgeted appropriations and advises on the transfer and reallocation of funds.
- Develops procedures, forms, and controls necessary for the effective operation of the unit.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in providing administrative services in accounting, budgeting, project monitoring and reporting, personnel, or procurement and property.
