About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Center Engineering Operations Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Data Center Engineering Operations team, you will be responsible for deploying, operating, and maintaining our data center facilities, as well as managing related projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
  • Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events
  • Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work
  • Work 12 hour shifts (4 days on and 4 days off)
  • Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Manage external vendors
Requirements
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical field and key electrical competencies (Practice Theory) knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls)
  • Driving license valid in Italy
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in operations and on-call support for Data Center facilities / or Mission Critical Plants/ Production facilities
  • An undergraduate degree in a technical field (EE, MechE, IndustrialE)
  • Project Management experience
