Position Overview

Hitachi Energy Italy S.P.A. is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our Business Unit focused on Grid Integration. This role is pivotal in executing service operations while adhering to established workflows and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct service operations, diagnose technical issues, and perform analyses through remote or on-site interventions across various service categories, including installation, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by delivering service in alignment with client expectations and orders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their requirements and identifying potential sales opportunities for internal communication.
  • Ensure all necessary materials, components, and equipment are prepared and meet quality standards for service tasks.
  • Prepare documentation and reports for customer approval, ensuring timely communication of completed work and necessary follow-ups.
  • Proactively identify potential equipment malfunctions and recommend preventive measures.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and provide insights to prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Suggest improvements for products and quality, relaying these recommendations within the Hitachi Energy organization.
  • Advise management on strategies to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and environmental responsibilities, reporting any unsafe practices or incidents.
  • Embody the core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions while supporting colleagues and the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Electrotechnical diploma.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, particularly with high voltage equipment.
  • Proficient in English and Italian.
  • Willingness to travel within Italy.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
