Senior Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Service Engineer to join our team at Sysmex Europe GmbH. As a key member of our regional technical service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the uptime of our instruments installed base in the assigned geographic area.
Key Responsibilities- Instrument Uptime: Ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our instruments in the field.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with end-users and laboratory stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Troubleshooting: Perform troubleshooting and repair activities both in person and remotely to minimize downtime.
- Service Activities: Execute reactive and proactive service activities at customer sites and/or remotely to meet customer needs.
- Expert Support: Act as an expert and second-level support in the field for the assigned business line.
- Colleague Development: Support the development of colleagues in the field through on-the-job training.
- Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for third-level support from the EMEA support team.
- Pre-Installation Visits: Conduct pre-installation visits and planning meetings with customers to ensure a smooth installation process.
- Installation and Training: Carry out pre-installation at our workshop and installations at customer sites, providing basic technical and maintenance training to end-users.
- Repair and Maintenance: Perform repair actions and maintenance visits as per Sysmex procedures to ensure instrument uptime.
- Proactive Activities: Plan proactive activities and regular visits to key customers to maintain strong relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Reporting and Communication: Report field activities and instrument status to stakeholders, keeping lab directors informed about service deliverables and instrument status.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction in all post-sales phases by organizing regular meetings with key end-users and ensuring that all customer-related records are up-to-date.
- Education: University degree or equivalent in engineering.
- Technical Knowledge: Advanced certificate in electronics and/or equivalent industry experience, with technical knowledge of electronic equipment (preferably IVD).
- Language Skills: Fluent English and Italian.
- Professional Experience: More than 10 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer in the medical device industry, with leadership experience and the ability to work under stressful situations.
