Cloud Operations Engineer - Fincantieri NexTech

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to enhance our global team and contribute significantly to the advancement and execution of our cloud operations methodologies.

The Cloud Operations Engineer will collaborate with software development, operational, and cybersecurity teams to optimize the efficiency, dependability, and safety of our software deployment processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and automate infrastructure as code utilizing tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Set up and oversee CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
  • Work closely with software development teams to adopt continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
  • Monitor and resolve infrastructure and application performance issues using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and New Relic.
  • Collaborate with security teams to enforce security best practices throughout the cloud operations.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in cloud operations and DevOps technologies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) position.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools.
  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of security best practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with product management tools and methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Jira, Confluence).
  • Proficient in professional English.
