JOB OVERVIEW

Fincantieri NexTech is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to enhance our global operations and contribute significantly to the advancement of our DevOps methodologies.

The DevOps Engineer will engage with development, operational, and security divisions to elevate the efficiency, dependability, and safety of our software deployment processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Automate and implement infrastructure as code utilizing tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to embed continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) methodologies.
  • Oversee and diagnose infrastructure and application performance leveraging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and New Relic.
  • Partner with security teams to enforce security best practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in DevOps and cloud computing technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) position.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools.
  • Experience in managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of security best practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with product management tools and methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Jira, Confluence).
  • Professional proficiency in English.
