Job Position: Gas Trading Desk

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gas Trader to join our Gas Trading Desk in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment. As a Gas Trader, you will have the opportunity to develop, optimize, and execute gas trading strategies in key EU countries from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement profitable trading strategies to maximize revenue and minimize risk.
  • Work closely with the algorithmic and systematic trading team to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Execute trades day ahead and along the curve, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Identify and research ways to improve existing trading strategies, leveraging market analysis and data-driven insights.
  • Manage Value-at-Risk (VaR) limits assigned by the Head of Trading, ensuring compliance with risk management frameworks.
  • Suggest data analysis to the internal analyst team to generate profitable trading strategies, driving business growth and innovation.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 or 4 years' experience in EU Markets gas trading or cross-commodity trading, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong business acumen combined with entrepreneurial flair, with a strong personal interest in financial markets, trading, and options.
  • Master's Degree in Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Economics, and Finance (or scientific disciplines), with a good knowledge of the English language.
  • Nice to have: IT skills like Python, C#, R, VBA, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and a willingness to work in a team.
