Planning Manager

EnerSys Delaware Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Planning Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing planning strategies to optimize delivery of products and services to customers.

• Develop and implement planning strategies to ensure optimal delivery of products and services to customers.
• Lead the development of the planning strategy, enhancing current practices and leading development projects.
• Coordinate sales activities, providing support to the front-end team.
• Identify customer needs and meet or exceed expectations.
• Develop and implement planning work processes, procedures, techniques, and systems.
• Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments through periodical and ad-hoc reports and analyses.
• Build and maintain a network of internal and external stakeholders, partners, and supply chain service providers.
• Define, plan, manage, and coordinate assigned projects, ensuring execution and delivery.

• Operations Management diploma or experience in a technical field with at least 3 years of experience in planning/scheduling/order handling.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of project-related experience.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, commercial, and financial principles.
• Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.
• Experience using SAP or other MRP/ERP systems.
• Strong planning, organizational skills, and attention to detail are required.
• Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others, has exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

• Experience working within an ISO quality plan is an asset.
• Understanding of and experience with Lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge and expert-level user of Microsoft Office tools, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
• Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed expectations.
• Knowledge of configuration control.

• This position will work in an office setting, with minimal physical demands.
