Position Title: SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL

Role Objective:

To deliver advanced legal support and expertise concerning legal matters that arise from business operations involving clients, partners, and subcontractors.

This role is designed to assist the business and the Head of Legal/Head of Legal and Contract Management in all legal issues necessitating senior legal acumen, particularly:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, assess, and negotiate contracts or other legal documents while managing acceptable risk levels.
  • Assist the business in all legal and contractual issues, including claims management and dispute resolution.
  • Conduct legal and contractual evaluations of tender submissions.
  • Support the business in proactively managing and directing litigation, arbitration, or other dispute-related matters.
  • Oversee corporate law issues.
  • Champion the Alstom Code of Ethics and uphold the highest standards of ethical behavior.

Performance Metrics:

Goals, targets, and performance metrics are established annually in alignment with the company's financial objectives and the General Counsel's goals for the Legal, Compliance, and Contract Management Function.

Educational Qualifications:

Essential:

Law degree in business law (Master II)

  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in an international business context or law firm.
  • Familiarity with international contracts and prior exposure to international practices through education or work experience.
  • Knowledge of public tenders.
  • Proficient in the English language.
  • Skills & Competencies:
