Administrative Support Specialist

At Fao, we are seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to join our team in Rome, Italy. This role will provide administrative support to the Partnerships and UN Collaboration Division, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the work unit.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will perform a variety of routine administrative transactions, including typing, formatting, and drafting correspondence; entering, retrieving, structuring, and updating information; setting up and maintaining office files and reference systems; initiating, viewing, and tracking administrative transactions; supporting the organization and administration of meetings, workshops, and events; arranging for travels; ensuring availability of office supplies; and performing other duties as required.
Key Responsibilities- Type, format, and draft routine correspondence; collate tables, reports, presentations, publications, and other documentation.
- Enter, retrieve, structure, and update selected information and data from various sources; present results in standard format.
- Set up and maintain office files and reference systems according to standard procedures, including an e-book for signatures.
- Initiate, view, and track a variety of administrative transactions in computerized financial/travel/human resources systems.
- Support the organization and administration of meetings, workshops, and events (e.g., arranging for meeting rooms and other facilities).
- Assist with arranging for travels: organize transport, logistics, accommodation, documents.
- Evaluate your performance based on delivering high-quality work products that meet or exceed expectations.
- Secondary School Education.
- Two years of relevant experience in office support work.
We offer a competitive salary, approximately €32,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
