Job Purpose:


We are seeking a skilled Finance Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at Hill's Pet Nutrition. As a key player in our financial reporting processes, you will support the Financial Controller in managing internal and external reporting and maintaining robust financial controls.


Responsibilities:



  • Conduct month-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations, with support from shared service centers.
  • Assist in preparing annual statutory accounts and tax calculations, and provide information to auditors.
  • Evaluate and enhance financial control processes within the organization, focusing on accounts payable/purchasing, payroll, account reconciliation, fiscal reporting, and CEB accounting.
  • Support the Accounts Payable team with vendor and payment queries.
  • Report local VAT and other periodical external reporting as per Italian statutory and tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Treasury and Tax departments on accounting and reporting tasks.
  • Contribute to SOX compliance, including testing and detailing internal controls.
  • Monitor travel expense payments and ensure compliance with the local T&E policy.
  • Assist the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and routine reporting.

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting.
  • Proficient experience in GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS (as applicable), and Italian statutory standards.
  • Previous experience in financial and tax reporting from a professional accounting firm or a similar position.
  • International environment experience and willingness to work across multiple teams.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Excel proficiency, with knowledge of Google Sheets an advantage.
  • Strong English speaking and writing skills.
