The Harry James Group is working in partnership with a globally recognised, smart technologies company to support their European growth markets. We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager based in Italy to lead energy storage sales opportunities and ensure qualitative sales and proper sales margins. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in the utility-scale renewable energy industry, with a strong preference toward candidates with prior battery energy storage experience. The role requires a senior sales leader with a strong track record of leading high-performing cross-functional teams and is solution orientated. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of negotiating complex sales projects, contractual and risk management understanding, and visible influencing and communications skills. The role also requires a broad understanding of energy storage business, solutions, and future market outlook, as well as commercial and customer mindset combined with a structural approach. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding team player and excellent coach, with the ability to drive results with excellent skills in planning and leading the change and execution. The role also requires the ability to inspire people to take actions towards the future goals, appreciate diversity, and build psychological safety and inclusion to the organisation. The successful candidate will be fluent in Italian and have a readiness to travel. The achievements will be measured by successful project sales with end-to-end profitability, sales team engagement & customer satisfaction, order intake, net sales & profitability.
