RINA is seeking a Junior Pipeline Engineer to become part of our team within the Energy Engineering Solutions Division. This position is based in our office in Fano, Italy.

Role Overview

The primary focus of this role is to assist the engineering team in developing innovative solutions for pipelines, machinery, systems, or structures, while adhering to established timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Engage in technical and managerial tasks related to the Energy sector, particularly in Onshore & Offshore Pipeline, Gas Distribution Networks, and Pipelines H2 Readiness, utilizing relevant software tools. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance before client submission.
  • Overseeing project distribution and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their requirements and facilitating invoicing processes.

Additional Duties:

  • Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge in the professional/technical domain.
  • Encouraging discussions to identify development needs and improvement plans.
  • Crafting effective solutions to complex challenges, recognizing the interconnectedness of various issues.
  • Conducting reviews and approvals of work documents.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and identifying potential business development opportunities.

Educational Background

A Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering is required.

Experience and Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Up to 3 years of relevant experience in the Energy sector, particularly in Onshore & Offshore Pipeline Design and consulting, as well as Gas Transportation and Distribution Networks.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Sage Profile, Autopipe, Caesar, and Autocad.
  • Familiarity with recognized codes and standards including DNV, API, ASME, NACE, NFPA, etc.
  • Competence in MS Office applications.

  • Proficient in both English and Italian, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management abilities.
