We are currently seeking a skilled Quality Mechanical Inspector. This position entails overseeing the inspection of components and ensuring the traceability of these inspections; managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Concession Requests (CRs); assisting in fault investigations; and supporting internal production alongside various Quality Control activities.

Role Responsibilities

Quality Inspection Duties

Conduct inspection protocols on components received by the Quality Department from both external vendors and internal production, adhering to the established procedures within the VCARB F1 Team Quality Department.

Ensure traceability of inspections performed during the evaluation of components sourced from external suppliers and internal production, in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the VCARB F1 Team Quality Department.

Oversee the management of Non-Conformities identified internally and the Concession Requests from both internal and external suppliers, following the protocols outlined in the VCARB F1 Quality Department, ensuring the proper documentation of NCRs and CRs.

Confirm that all information regarding Non-Conformities and Concession Requests is accurately communicated and comprehended by the relevant VCARB F1 departments and/or external suppliers involved.

Assist in investigations related to vehicle faults and issues, collaborating with the Reliability Department, Design Office, and Race Team.

Support the VCARB F1 Team Production Department with inspections throughout the production process.

Manage additional Quality Department tasks assigned by the Head of Quality, providing necessary feedback to the Head of Quality.

Professional Expertise

Proficient understanding of precision mechanics.

Familiarity with measurement instruments, including:

  • Coordinate Measuring Machines (preferably Zeiss and/or Mitutoyo);
  • Anthropomorphic Measuring Arms equipped with laser scanning heads (preferably utilizing Polyworks software);
  • Standard bench tools (micrometers, calipers, gauge blocks, roughness meters, hardness testers, etc.).

Knowledge of automotive quality systems and procedures, which includes:

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with external suppliers;
  • Understanding of non-conformity management and traceability concepts.

Candidate Qualifications

Preferred technical high school diploma.

Up to 3 years of experience in motorsport and/or automotive sectors.

Experience in interpreting technical drawings.

Preferred background in materials and material treatments.

Proficiency in the English language (minimum B1 level preferred).

Proactive and reactive mindset.

High adaptability, willingness to work overtime and weekends, and effective stress management.

Preferred familiarity with ERP systems.

Willingness to travel for business purposes, both domestically and internationally.
