About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Management Specialist to join our team at IKEA. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management of our properties throughout their lifetime, including safety, compliance, maintenance, and improvement.
  • Purchase and implement relevant property management innovations, digital and technical solutions related to your specialist area.
  • Advise, mentor, and support the delivery of agreed FM services in the cluster.
  • Develop and maintain subject area expertise and drive the requirement collection process in your specialist area.
  • Participate in global subject matter update meetings and organize them in the cluster.
  • Drive the implementation of approved best-practices and projects aimed at lowering operational cost and improving the reliability of assets and the efficiency of FM services.
Requirements
  • Preferred experience in a multi-unit facilities management organization in a high-volume retail sector and academic degree or professional qualification in Facilities Management.
  • Working knowledge of CAFM systems and ability to assess and mitigate risks in a business environment.
  • Knowledge of Ingka's Facility Management delivery model and business processes, including work order management, contract and supplier management.
  • Understanding of sustainability and its interaction with Facility Management, including energy consumption, water consumption, emissions, waste management, and chemical products.
  • Technical understanding of Ingka buildings and connected equipment, as well as asset management principles.
  • Good knowledge of English and Italian.
What You'll Be Doing Day to Day

You will be responsible for supporting the management of our properties, including safety, compliance, maintenance, and improvement. You will also be involved in the purchase and implementation of relevant property management innovations and digital solutions.

You will advise, mentor, and support the delivery of agreed FM services in the cluster and develop and maintain subject area expertise. You will also participate in global subject matter update meetings and organize them in the cluster.

You will drive the implementation of approved best-practices and projects aimed at lowering operational cost and improving the reliability of assets and the efficiency of FM services.

You will contribute to the goalsetting, FM budgeting activities, the 5-year rolling plan, and the annual plan in your specialist area.

You will assist in controlling cost through working in a lean, simple, and cost-conscious way.

You will follow up on permits, licenses, certificates, and reporting measures to stay compliant with local and international legislation regarding the Facility Management scope in Ingka.
