In light of our recent initiative, Nuance, which aims to create a realm where the beauty of sound knows no boundaries, we are in search of a passionate Silicon Design Engineer. This role is pivotal in advancing technology beyond conventional microcontroller components.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Custom IC Design: Develop custom integrated circuits for audio-centric smart eyewear featuring hearing aid capabilities, focusing on ultra-low power consumption, beamforming, and digital signal processing.
- Silicon Product Architecture: Define the architecture for future silicon products across various categories, identifying essential elements to shape a comprehensive silicon strategy beyond audio glasses.
- Application of Signal Processing Techniques: Innovate and implement signal processing methodologies to analyze data collected from a diverse range of subjects.
- AI Algorithm Development: Formulate strategies to merge traditional signal processing with machine learning components while ensuring high power efficiency.
COLLABORATIVE NETWORK
INTERNAL: The role will involve collaboration with project managers and product managers within the Smart Eyewear Team.
EXTERNAL: The position requires interaction with suppliers to facilitate the production of integrated circuits.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Educational qualifications in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering (Master's degree or preferably a PhD).
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in designing low-power silicon components, particularly integrated circuits.
- Familiarity with Digital Signal Processing for hearing aids is advantageous.
- Experience in drafting specifications to support the production of silicon components.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms, including optimization algorithms, data fusion, and digital signal processing.
- Proficient understanding of embedded systems and firmware development.
- Basic knowledge of electronic systems and sensors.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Proficiency in Italian and English is essential.
